Also maybe you guys can settle a debate.. The meta area (the part where it shows the current playing track at the top) in the current version has the itunes lcd look and in my renders i want to switch over to the dark display. reason being is I want people to get used to the whole dark theme as this will be what 2.0 looks like ImageShack - Best place for all of your image hosting and image sharing needs

So should we leave the LCD look for that till 2.0 or do you like the dark version in my first post?

(edit LOL) I should note i have to update that screenshot but you get the idea :wink:

I love the fact that you’re on here asking for opinions as well. Really making us feel involved! If you have betas you want testing I’m there.

latest snow leopard. Thing was I have a load of stuff in my menu bar (istat menus etc) that all disappeared in the black, and the clock seems to be the only thing with a customisable colour.

I’m a bit of a noob when it comes to making everything look sleek in OSX!

did you grab Aqua Extreme? http://www.maxthemes.com/ that should install the white menubar icons. otherwise you have to do some resource hacking for each app.

Isn’t Beatport the most expensive digital music store? It certainly is in my experience.

Some ew releases on Beatport are $2.49, but they’re just as high if not higher on some of the other sites. The majority of what I buy from Beatport is $1.99, with quite a bit being $1.49 as well. That’s pretty close to what the other sites charge, not counting iTunes and emusic.

I say hold the dark till 2.0. That with all the other new features will make it seem like a very new app which a whole version number should imo.

I should post a lil disclaimer here for anyone else interested in becoming a tester.

MAS license users are not eligible for Betas, Hotfixes, or Dev/Debug Builds. this is due to the difference in licensing and how MAS works. I strongly suggest that if anyone is interested in becoming a beta tester or just simply want access to hotfixes and all that.. get your license though the cancel monday store.

Quick update. We have decided to pull the light grid background colors from 1.6 due to issues with implementation. I want to spend a bit more time on it and we need to get 1.6 out today. Every body in the beta group should be getting an email in the next 24 hours with the official beta :slight_smile:
