Buying tracks adds up faster nowadays

Hi all. Is there any current listing of online music track stores anywhere? Beatport is draining my bank account.

The ones I know of:

http://www.djtunes.com/
http://www.juno.co.uk

Are there any others? Where do you shop? Beatport seems to be the most popular although I do not know other online track stores compare in terms of selection. I believe that the only main difference between all the stores could be the selection and/or maybe if the tracks they sell are MP3 or Lossless but Beatport has raised their prices and when you play $2.24 a track it ads up REALLY fast. I cannot buy as many tracks as I used to anymore.

I’d also like to ask if anyone has seen any increase in usage of peer to peer file sharing apps for music.
I use to use Soulseek about 10 years ago but nowadays it seems dead.

I’d like to know:

How do you get your music?
Do you shop at beatport exclusively?
Can you add any other stores or resources to this list?
Any tips for saving money when buying tracks? I buy no more than 10 at time now from Beatport and I spent between $20 to $25 at least.
Thanks

I used to pay 11 bucks for import 12 inch singles and 7 bucks for domestic 12 inch singles…so I have little sympathy  (j/k)

I used to pay $40 for a 12" vinyl at times from the UK or Germany so I can certainly relate.

Bandcamp.

Also don’t fileshare, selling music is how some people survive.

music pools my friend

So how do you get in a music pool?

How many tunes do you really think you need?

I think this is an important question. I make sure to go on a purge every couple of years.

I’m pretty far into my first pass at a purge.

Shrunk my library by around 50%, and still have a bunch of “maybes” to sort through…

It’s therapeutic! The trick is to avoid getting rid of stuff that you might not play right now, but you enjoy. I have a bunch of mid 00s breaks that I keep around.

Hell yes you do. I’ve had The Westerner by General Midi on repeat for a couple of days now.

Locked in with beatport after subscribing to various artists/labels. Only purchase using coupons … which have become increasingly regular recently.

Other than that, bandcamp.
