Cluttered workspace: S4 and Laptop

Looking to jump to the controller approach and wondering what everyone does when they have to gig in a workspace that has a 2-4 CDJs and a mixer?

Where are you putting your S4, stand, laptop?

Does someone make a stand that sits over a CDJ/MIXER so you have a place for the S4, and also gives you a laptop perch?

I guess decksavers for the CDJ would be an option, but who knows what model(s) will be there.

What approach are you guys taking to getting setup between two acts without interrupting everthing?

I have an odyssey and a crane stand. Odyssey legs go right under the cdjs/tts/mixers that are there, and i usually find space to squeeze my crane stand leg under; sometimes their cdj/mixer might wobble with the leg under it but meh

i usually take one cdj out and play with … CDJ | MIXER | S4

@ Klyn, Same for me=) Always need that backup cd/usb ready:slight_smile: But i use a stand for my s4 (cant remember its name). Getting a MBP 13" today so no more 17" heavy pc with me, even more space in the booth:smiley:

I’m just about to purchase a stand, how are you finding the odysey one Klyn?

its the Griffin Elevator Stand, fits well under the s4 as well the MBP:slight_smile: thinking of getting one more (atm got only one)

Edit: Its not tall enough to have the s4 under it.

actually the standard laptop stands you find in most music stores work fine to hold the s4 as well you can elevate them to fly the s4 on top of whatever cdj or mixer… well centered this has worked for me and some friends :wink:
