Combining midi controllers (MidiOx/MidiYoke)
Anyone tried this with Traktor? I used to do it in Ableton, and it’s dawned on me that if you use MidiOx to combine 2 controllers, you actually COULD have a modifier from 1 controller affect the other one too…
Has anyone tried this?
I don’t see why not. I’m guessing you would just get Midi-OX to output 2 midi commands when the 1 midi command was pressed??
Or you could use Bomes. Would do the same job.

Witheen Traktor you can map both controllers in a single mapping device. That way the modifier can be shared.

I did consider this - any idea if there are any issues with latency when you combine 2 controllers into 1 mapping?

There shouldn’t or at least I’ve never experience any. You tried different audio interface and computer?
I didn’t even realise you could do this… Thought it was 1 device per mapping!

Yup, pretty cool. This way you can bring another set of eight modifiers.

Can you combine 2 separate mappings? Or do you have to re-map one device into the other mapping?

Windows users can not… Combining two mappings or copying some commands from one .tsi to the other require an Extreme Mappings app.
