crane stand pro

crane stand pro

why the hell is one of these 150 $?!?! what a scam, does anyone know another brand or place where to get one for cheaper ?

Crane stand pro’s are worth the cash, easy as hell to set up and folds away to nearly nothing,

Other options are Stanton Uberstand or Griffin stand.

They usually run $120-$130 on Amazon.

Buy once, cry once. I finally broke down about a year ago. I dont think you will find anything that is as sturdy and well built AND folds down so small.

i´d suggest to stay away from the uberstand. i have one and i´m not a lucky panda with it. for homeuse it is perfect but in clubsituation it can be a pain in the ass. as soon as it gets a bit bouncier on stage and the table is wonky, your laptop might easily fall down. just sayin

Yeah, after buying a crane stand pro, ill never go back.

Buy once, cry once. I got the Crane Stand Pro, and I will NOT give it back. In fact, I want to get another one now… Yes, it is THAT good.

^^^ I was thinking the same thing this morning. Can’t find any second hand ones anymore… wonder why

You could get a crane stand standard. I just ordered one. I don’t think I’m going to be touring anytime soon and even if I were going to play shows, it won’t be often enough that I absolutely NEED the portability.

The standard looks stable enough.

The Magma Traveler which I can vouch for, is about £70.

You get what you pay for. In the case of the crane stand, you get something that can easily support a 10Kg mixer

still not convinced?

I lost the stupid little holder.

That being said, it’s an awesome stand and I’ve used a lot of them, and there’s a reason I finally broke down and bought this one. The only think I could wish for that it had adjustable height as well. Because sometimes if you have turntables stacked on the tops of the flight cases in a cramped booth, it can be a pain to try to fit into places. But I imagine that’s the case with most.

It’s sturdy as fuck. And that’s all the reason I need, I don’t want my laptop wobbling about in the middle of a set.

yeah the sub-tray is a bit of a let down. i found with my a6 it would slide down with a bit of vibration, you may see from my pic the insulation tape mod i added

I dropped my MacBook off my Uberstand (was my fault) only once.

That day, I stuck the velcro strips it came with onto my lappy and the stand. Works pretty damn well.

Dunno HOW bouncy your gigs get tho…

20 people behind the booth + plus a little dj monster called ed going nuts while spinning = more than bouncy

Bicycle Bungee Cords?

LOL

That would be GHETTO!

at that certain party i fixed it with a spare rca cable i had in my bagpack

LOOOOL

Nicely!

It shows that you CAN under pressure.

i have had an uberstand and couple others, then finally got a crane after years of thnking it was to much. They are very much worth it, ever gig i go to people ask me about them. You can get the standard and they have another model comingas well which are not adjustable like the prob and for most people they will work just fine.

Just got my standard in today. Quite nice but it’s only holding up a tiny little ultrabook :stuck_out_tongue:

I paid 48 shipped from an eBay vendor, worth it IMO.
