DJ Hero Anyone???

DJ Hero Anyone???

Not too keen on how the game looks, but thinking of what I can do with the Controller :stuck_out_tongue:

scratch controller?

Don’t know about the game but i rate that promo! to be honest, it’s bound to be a laugh…

guitar hero is wicked!

The game actually doesn’t look too bad. Still focused around the garage band / guitar hero design. I also read somewhere you can use the scratch controller in menus and practice cutting samples. Honestly i think the bluetooth wii version would be awesome since there are wii-midi software that translate the wiimote to midi messages. It could be a very good effects controller. I was thinking crossfader for wet/dry, each button as effect engage/select and platter for effect amount for the key pressed.

cool trailer… i’m not into gaming though so probably won’t play it.

From what I can notice when playing DJ Hero, the crossfader snaps to left, center or right and the platter only registers forward or backward movement, like touching the edge of the VCI platter so it’s basically just a fancy way of pressing buttons… I could be way off though even though there’s no use of a “fading” crossfader or detailed scratching within the game

it’s amazing

i got it last week and started on medium, now im 1/2 thru on expert, pretty fun… def lots of room for expansion

i tried it last week and I SUCK @ dj hero…oh well ill stick with guitar hero.

Looks like a glorified mp3 player to me…

I wouldn’t mind having some of the daft punk mixes though.

I also find it hilarious how people complain that they cant actually do any mixing on it because its all pre-recorded. Why not just get a real mixer? :stuck_out_tongue:

as opposed to being able to play your own songs on guitar hero?

It kinda make for better cue juggling practice than a guitar hero controller does actually in its own way. Ive had it for about 4 days now, its pretty good fun.

got it to control traktor or even opened it yet?

Lol, not a fan of guitar hero or any of those sorts of games really. The episode southpark did about rhythm games pretty much summed up my views on them :stuck_out_tongue:

If people put half as much effort into real instruments or whatever as they do into these types of games I think we’d have many more creative minds amongst us.

Although maybe I’m being hipocritical. I play alot of shooters, you could say if I put as much effort as I do into playing first person shooters into joining the army I’d be in the special forces by now. No wait…

EDIT:

Just read that DJ Hero failed to even make the top-10 in the UK after its first week of being on sale.

Way over priced at £100 and £170 for the special edition thing. I mean seriously, you could buy a cheap DJ set-up for that price I think?

just about
CD set
Deck set

(i don’t work there, i just use it for my links as easiest key word to remember when searching bookmarks)

You seriously have to try it

I used to rock the tables… I went digital last year with a vci-100, not that this means anything other than I understand this shit. Crank up the headphones and play dj hero with a beginners mind. Once you get the feal of this and you move up to expert it’s dope as fuck and hard. Only on expert does almost feal real. I’m a gamer and since was a kid I dreamt of a dj game and this is the beginning o something dope… It’s faze one, shit if mr golden can rock the gutiar and the midi…

Side note, i upgraded to 1.22 and now I’m Fucked with a gig on Thursday

I think you might be missing the point a bit…

Dj Hero anyone? Yes, if it had house, techno, and drum and bass. (aka “good music”)

Since it only has pop and rap, I won’t touch it.

Been playing it for a couple days now and I gotta say that apart from being entertaining and having some good mixes, it does sharpen my timing and hand skills somewhat

I second the shapening of timing and it is pretty fun. Im about to start in hard mode tonight. I cant wait to see what Scratch:Ulimate Dj is going to bring to the field of dj gaming.
