that game seems fresher everytime i read some small news like this about the game. i gonna get the game for sure  damn, z-trip, shadow, am, and now the grandmaster himself.Besides that the controller looks very capable too.

well I’m getting one, and if I don’t like it I’ll hack the control to work with traktor

DJ shadow? sweet!

I would be cool with DJ hero if a company like Lack-a-vision wasn’t behind it; they are a marketing driven studio after all whereas most other top tier studios are creatively driven studios.

i can forget about the company behind it, cause me for my part is very excited to give those routines a shot in the game. after all all those dj´s got a reputation that they dont want to ruin by taking part in a shitty game

Hopefully the involvement of artists like Grandmaster Flash will help the creative side out. I can’t wait for it, actually. I was thinking about buying Guitar Hero until I heard that DJ Hero was coming out, and now that I’ve heard that it’s got some real DJs behind it, it’s DJ Hero all the way for me.

from the traktor pro promo videos i thought grandmaster flash was pretty cool but this video makes him seem like a total wanker.
Seriously it’s just a game and in all honesty it won’t be that big with people that really want to dj cause it’s stupid.

No way can you translate the intricacies of mixing into a game controller.
It’s going to be as much of an ode to djing as guitar hero is to actually playing a guitar, the ONLY thing that will translate to the real thing is timing.

You may aswell play asteroids to a bassline.
It’s a rhythm game, nothing more.

To be honest while their involvment does make me more excited about it I dont think guys like Flash have anything to loose anymore, its not like the possibility of promoting a game that turns out to suck poses any threat to their careers.

Flash also seems to mostly focus on the tunes that have been selected for the game rather than its level of control, or the mechanics of the game itself.

duz it has 14bit midee suport?

all thats known so far is it has a touchsensitive, 360 degree spinable jogwheel. i wouldnt bet on 14bit midi, i fear they used some old ideas, shematics and parts from the ns7, just waaaaaayyy cheaper:disappointed:
