DJ hero

i cant beleive they’re making a dj game…blahhhh now everyone can be a dj with out talent…to bad there is nothing like being one for real lol

www.djhero.com/

I pre ordered mine

i can’t wait to be a dj.
:stuck_out_tongue:

i wonder if racecar drivers felt threatened when mario kart was released.

:stuck_out_tongue: hahaha

I used to play guitar and when Guitar Hero was released I was so pissed. I don’t think anyone actually believes they’re a guitar player just because they play Guitar Hero.

Likewise, I doubt anyone will claim to be a DJ only because they play DJ Hero. It might inspire people to buy some gear and try it out though, which I don’t really see much harm in.

Besides, if you haven’t noticed, there’s loads of people on the internet who claim to be some sort of DJ who really aren’t. Haven’t you ever seen those goofy videos on youtube that are “mixes” done my “DJ’s” that actually is just a series of songs people put together by just fading the volume between songs?

 Don’t sweat it.

Annoys me too.

DJ hero will no doubt be irritating for actual DJ’s but as others said it might bring in fresh meat to the table.

As long as people dont get the wrong end of the stick and think that DJ’ing is really easy because it is on a game :stuck_out_tongue:

Oh dear I’m starting to sound quite elitist, damn.

scratching on beat and crossfading..

jeeze they went about this so wrong.

i think you misinterpreted the inflection of my post as a serious one… i was just trying to illustrate the ridiculousness of DJs being bothered by something like an air-guitar DJ game.

Yeah i agree with you. theres already scores of non-djs around as it is… and there always have been since before digital dj technology.

Oh no dude I was laughing about what you said. And then throwing in my two cents about the issue in general.

I’m fairly certain no one feels threatened by the game.

haha ok gotcha…

I don’t doubt this will get more people into DJing

Exactly. I don’t know if this happened to you guys too, but when the “Tony Hawks Pro Skater” games came out in the late 1990’s or whatever, all of a sudden everybody wanted to skateboard in real like (myself included). I think I can speak for a lot of people in my age group that can say video games influenced what we wanted to be and do (or at least that one).

(Nerdy kind of; yes, I know)

And after a while I realized I was no good at it and gave up. :stuck_out_tongue: Basically I’m seeing a wave of new DJ’s emerge and then slowly decline, but still ending with more than before. And all the while helping keep money in these companies that produce these products.

(Sorry for the weird rant)

Just my opinion.

totally. if it wasn’t for super mario i’d never have had the balls to take magical mushrooms

Ah the real life 1UP

well..not really. DJing in the beginning was pretty much all about scratching in hip hop. not sure this game is aimed at much past that aspect of it. it’s not like Club DJ Hero. just like guitar hero doesn’t have you playing much country or death metal. it’s all pretty much aimed at one specific genre.
