DJ mag jokesville poll

DJ mag jokesville poll

I figured some one would be on this. i had to look just because, but man I wish I didn’t. I know its the same argument every year at how irrelevant the ranking is and everything, but its fun to talk crap about and get mad at. Its not even done but they posted the ones after 100…Zabiela is like 123…

They are going down the listing as we speak.

Sasha had a grand snap on twitter…

Lol I saw that. Classic. If funny they say they don’t care, but its only when they fall out they do.

NAh, he genuinely hasn’t been caring for all over the years it has been going on.

i would expect next years winner of the x factor to enter at number 30 or above its a complete joke of a poll

Taking it as more than fun is wrong for the punters and players, but I suspect booking fees go up a bit if you make it in the top 100 and sky rocket at top 10.

Joris Voorn was 148 it says it all really

My favourite DJ that nobody’s heard of is ranked something that I don’t agree with, so yeah, that poll is a total joke.

You’ve never heard of Joris Voorn?

If this is aimed at me i’ll post my reply.. Joris Voorn isn’t my favourite DJ but he has done great things for dance music (EDM) in the past year including playing numerous times at Space Ibiza. He also pushed boundaries for controller DJ’s. So for him not to get placed in the top 100 is strange.

My favourite DJ didn’t even make the top 200 but i’m not complaining about that. It was just an observation of who was placed where.

This is a list of most popular EDM producers nothing to write home about. Producers have just been mislabeled as of late.

I’d rather take the Resident Advisor Top 100 more serious, but that’s more underground related. Who gives about polls anyway.

It’s all pretty much a social media popularity contest

True, and agreeing to the more underground part JDFS mentioned.

popularity of genres already makes polls like this utterly meaningless.

When the DJ Mag Poll went online and the use of the internet became mainstream, this became the point in which the poll become a meaningless litmus test - it’s about as much use as getting your old fella out, dipping it in a bowl of water, hanging it in the breeze and using this as the basis for predicting world wide weather patterns for the next decade.

I gave up on DJ mag a good few years ago and don’t get me started on Mixmag!

Who cares, I came third in the DJTT Unofficial Forum House Competition…

Yeah

Suck that Tiesto et al.

in 2007 jeff mills was a pasty white guy

Martin Solveig also looks a lot like Chris Liebing…
