I’m opening a new thread because the old one got too big.
You’ll always get all new information within the first 3 posts of this screen.
I’ll update it often so keep your eyes open.

Midi Fight Club

Details
Date: 23th of July 2010
Location: Tresor Club (Globus Floor + bar next to it), Berlin, Germany
Floor-Size: 250-300 party-people + ?? on the bar floor
Headliners:

DJ Shiftee (DMC Champion 2009)

Strip Steve (Boys Noize Records)

Directions::
Köpenicker Straße 70
10179 Berlin

by train:
From Berlin main-station go to Berlin Alexanderplatz via S5, S7, S9
You have to walk 3-4 minutes to Alexanderplatz S+U (subway).
Then go 2 stations with the U8 towards Hermannstr.
Leave at Heinrich-Heine-Str. (U) and follow the path on the picture in the attachement.
If you’re good it takes 18 minutes to get from main-station to the Tresor.

Hotels:
I’ll look for some hotels soon and also ask the few Berlin resident DJTT-member if they can pick up someone.

Lineup:
We got time and place. Now it’s time for the community to shine.
If you want to spin at the party, please express your interest again here.
I don’t know if we can cover any expenses as the budget is very tight, but I’ll see what I can do. If there’s money left after the party, I’m spreading it at the community.
Please note a myspace/soundcloud or homepage of yours along with your style.

Homepage:
Someone may create a small homepage based on the flyer. It shall only consist of a few pages and give information about the event itself and the artists spinning there.
I can provide a domain and webspace + a MySQL-database if necessary

Flyer/Poster-design:
We have several designers here, please make a draft or whatever and post it.

If you’re up for it, Restricted Sessions can be there too. (2, 3 or maybe even 4 DJs B2B2B2B, gotta see who can make it though)
Styles differ from deep house to tech house to progressive to techno to minimal to drum&bass.

If you like, focus on the following mixes:
Progressional Education - episode 4 (progressive house)
B Sides (deep&funky)
Private Minimal (minimal)
Oldskool Drum & Bass (drum&bass)

Our latest mix Restricted Sessions meets Lime is somehow offline. Will try to get it back online though. :smiley:

By the way, in case you’re going to note down the lineup somewhere more or less public, I now go by the name K.T.I.T.
It’s easier to remember, pronounce, write and dotted names are just way cooler :smiley:

Well done getting a room in Tresor, good luck to all parties involved (no pun intended).
I would’ve suggested “program change” as a gig name but I’m not sure how well it would fit since the formula doesn’t stray too far away from what is usually played there… unless you’re planning crazy mashups (haven’t checked everyone’s audio).
Also that’d be a little ironic with Traktor not getting PC messages :stuck_out_tongue:

One name that I came up with was “Midi Fight Club” but then again I don’t know if all of us are going to use controllers in one way or another.

Thanks for your flyer-proposals greatmesk.
They are basic but I have to admit that I don’t like them too much. They look like most other flyers floating around Berlin and the typography although fitting into the context is hard to read and all in all a bit too much. Looking at them I got an idea (involving a nice light up MIDI-controller). I’ll do it tomorrow. You can improve it or tear it up if its not good.

@slangemenneske:

While I like it, “normal” people won’t get it. I have to figure out if we’re bound to electro/house and that stuff or can freely choose.

I love that and also have an idea to incorporate it in the Flyer.
