London DJTT Party

London DJTT Party

In the UK, what name DJ would be a big crowd puller if we were to throw a DJTT party over here?

Shiftee?

Anyone got any thoughts…

Personally i’d like to see Ean Golden play over here…

+1 Ean

Gold Panda?

Get a local british hero?

Or me

chase & status.

thats pretty unrealistic haha got a spare 10 grand to get an hour set out of them?

Ooh very very interesting… Hmm this requires some thinking.

How about Peter Hook hahaha

I was thinking… Grand Master Flash?

Peter Hook … Oh dear

oooh yeah… the original mime dj

Moldover vs Ean Golden…

Controller-ism battle??!!!

Yes! ace idea

Haha…I would prefer Ian dropping a set

i say oh JESUS!

Just get Shiftee

I think Shiftee is in London right now actually.

Edit: Yep he’s playing at Rhythm Factory

Now would be too soon… It’d need to be February/March at earliest. Really.

Any more thoughts from UK crew?

It’d have to be some one that represents “controllerism” somehow. Otherwise I might as well throw a regular old party.

Sasha - one of the first Ableton users and huge over here - not cheap though

James Zabiela?

His work with the Pioneer EFX-500/1000 is pretty wicked. Again, not cheap however.

Sasha would be ace, or Tim Exile.

They won’t be cheap. But… Restricted Sessions will be there bro’!
I think Hedgehog needs to be there too. He will have some interesting ideas for ya.

Hawtin.

Also, If you need a back room DJ, I’d love to have a set.

EDIT: Also, Tong uses X1s. Custom white ones, to be exact.

I was chatting to an events/party promoter who runs her own London-based company. She seems to reckon if you make it a charity type event you could pull in some big names maybe for free? And that Jan is a quiet month on the scene and so could get a venue cheap - she suggested Brighton rather than London?

DJ-wise? How about something a little different .. AVDJ anyone?

Dude is supposed to be amazing..

And then midi-fight night for sure

First Round one-on-one / any 4 song 4x4 cue battle 90 secs - crowd reaction gets winner
Qtr Round same any 4 song 4x4 cue battle 90 secs - crowd reaction gets winner
Semi - same any 4 song 4x4 cue battle 90 secs - crowd reaction gets winner
Final - 3 90 sec rounds –

hmm this sounds interesting, I want in! :stuck_out_tongue:

January is generally quiet because its just after christmas / New year and most people have spent up which can have a major effect on turn out.

What genre are we aiming at for the headliner?
What scale are we looking at, venue size etc?

Will go away and think about a headliner :sunglasses:
