Good DJ Headphones?

Good DJ Headphones?

I recently purchased a set of Pioneer HDJ 2000s on eBay and they turned out to be fake so I reported the seller, opened a case and returned them for a full refund plus eBay gave me a complimentary gift certificate for my trouble. There is a sound and lighting store nearby, I stopped by and I sincerely didn’t like any of the headphones they had on display, the only reputable ones they had were the HDJ 500. I’ve been looking at skullcandy and Dr. Dre headphones but apparently they’re more of a fashion statement than a tough product, or so I’ve heard/read. Can anyone point out and/or recommend good DJ headphones. I really don’t mind pricing.

(Don’t get the SP version).

Omni’s right on here. Pick a pair and you won’t regret it.

AIAIAI TMA-1s are supposed to be good. Don’t get the beats…

Real HDJ2ks’?

if you use the search function, you will see many many treads on headphones,
covering all issues, like sound, comfort, bass, build quality etc.

Read that.

Just got a pair of HD25-I ii’s. Was gonna get HDJ2000’s, but i couldn’t justify the enormous price difference (got a decent deal, 168 shipped on ebay, brand new) and the HD25’s are easy to take apart and customize.

HDJ 2000’s nuff said.

this

I went into hmv here in Ireland about a month back I received a voucher for hmv for my birthday, they had a headphone sale on and had stands for pioneer, beats, sennheiser, Sony, panasonic and skull candy, literally tried every pair of headphones (on own wave files) on offer without money being an issue (gift voucher) and found that beats weren’t that great, then later narrowed out Sony skull candy and panasonic, I knew I was going to get sennheiser as out of all phones there, they seemed to sound the best and be most comfortable on my head, in the end I settled for the hd205’s because I couldn’t notice anything in sound difference and these seemed to cover my ears more then the 25s because they are slightly more oval and in my opinion looked better, I’m not dissing the 25s as I know many djs that use them but for me I just didn’t like them, I seemed to go for their little brother which ended up being a good purchase and left me money to buy some CDs which had been a while  hope this helps

Oh and the only pioneers they had were 2000’s at over 400 euro.

Sennheiser HD25-1 II (70Ohm basic edition). I’ haven’t had such a good sounding and decent built headphone in ages. If anything breaks you can get spare parts. I love it and i recommend it to anyone!

It’s mindblowing and relatively cheap!
