Got a chance to pick up a cheap VCI400. Sell s2/X1 and do it?

oi oi. Got a chance to pick up a slightly second hand vci400 for like 60% of retail.

Only recently bought an S2 and have been using it with my X1.

So. Sell the NI S2 and X1 and get on the Vestax VCI bandwagon?

What would you cats do?

if it was me i’d jump on the vci400… so long as the size of it wouldn’t be an issue with any booth u need it to fit in… u can always pick up another X1 later if u really wanted

I’d get it for sure.

Go for it!

Dunno. Think I prefer the s2 personally. HID for the win. Have you got your hands on a vci400? Do you really think its all that? I didn’t. It’s good but not all that

Haven’t actually had a chance to have a go of the vci. Jogs not as good as the s2? One of the main attractions is the new standalone mixer upgrade for the vci. Meh. I dunno.

I’d keep the X1

jogs might be better on the s2 but overall the vci400 has to be a big step up.

I really wanted to like it. I just didn’t. Too cramped. S2 the most solid 2 deck traktor controller out there. Suits me 100% if I’m mixing internal

I’ll take the x1 off ya for 125 if ya want lol

u can sell the s2 for profit now

I would do it for the big dedicated filter knobs alone. The lack of the filter knobs on the channel strips of the S2 is a dealbreaker for me and you can tell they only didn’t include them to compete with the S4 a little less.

Still not convinced its the right move TBH. I bought an all in one for portability and i have a feeling the VCI is just too big for my needs. I map the filters in traktor to knobs on my X1 at the moment so thats not really a dealbreaker for me. I’m mostly swa7yed by the standalone mixer functionaility and vestax feel tbh…

Bleh, might just buy the VCI and sell it if its not my cup of tea.
