i dont know the mac price market too well but i think i got a good deal

have to wait till tuesday to get my hands on it.but was in the applestore today and no more do i have to wonder what it would be like to own one.

feels good to be in the mac club.

Bye bye windows vista.

Excellent man!

Enjoy!

Oh i will no more vista aids!

I hope you’ll be running XP on it <33

welcome to the club

while i have you all here a noob Q

do mbp take normal laptop HDD? Looking at putting in a 500gGb or do you have to use one with an apple logo on it?

Normal HDD should be fine, i’d reccomend SSD though.

And you lucky fucker, i paid £625 for a battered 2007 White Macbook, you got one hell of a deal.

Mmmm…

im not sold on ssd yet (i build pc’s) but the price is still too high on them imo
give it another year and we shall start to see a big price fall+i have never had a hdd fail me yet,but of course if i see a good deal on one i will pick one up.

Yeah i still use a normal hdd, but SSDs are amazing for running your music, loading tracks and such is like instantaneous.

From an SSD owner. Once you go PQI Black, you never go back.

I’ve been using them for two years now. I’ve learned to be spartan with my computer. Not have bullshit program’s and video games. It’s actually made me like 100% more effective at life without them. If you’re a cheap bastard you can get a 32 GB for like 50 bucks with decent read write times, but if you’re poor, save up $100 and buy the Samsung 64GB SSD like I did. Thing has 300MB/ps both ways, which is like future proof for until Traktor 10,000,000

welcome bro, we have been waiting for you

I hear that’s the version where Traktor will finally get flexible beatgrids.

i might pick up a ssd this week, i got the cash and it is xmas after all,

all so another Q

for windows users who switched to mac,how do i go about moving my traktor stuff over
(beatgrids, cues, loops etc..?) as for ableton i have that sorted.

I’m maxing out RAM on the iMac and MBP and maybe going into the TB’s on the MBP in the next couple of months.

yeah as soon as i get it gonna check if its 2x1gb sticks or 1x2gb stick and upgrade it

ok so looking at these 4gb ram

anyone know anywhere else in the uk i can pick this up at a better price?
or is £60 what i am gonna have to pay for 4gb?

Great deal you got there. Im still looking to upgrade myself.

AboveDat, keep an eye out cuz with those mbp, the video card goes out on them and its a full swap of the logic board and its taken care of by apple free of charge.

For switching all your data over, get the IP of your wireless network on your PC, go to your macs finder → go → connect to server → “smb://your.ip” → use your mac to find files you want and just drag/drop. its faster if you do it with an ethernet cable, just my computers piled under a ton of crap and is impossible to get into.

I still use my PC for finding music on blogs + if its any good i transfer it over to the mac

And useable FX!
