i miss the old ean golden videos where he talks about hacking together controllers using HID/midi hardware… this site has really grown in popularity recently, but let’s not forget what brought people here in the first place.

Look, that vid is a marketing tool aimed at parents. Nothing more, nothing less. Using a language designed to resonate within his targeted marketing group. Whats the big deal?

I have kids of the age group this is pitched towards, if they was half interested in decent music and learning how to play it out, instead of being obsessed with X factor shite, i have no doubt the kids woulda come across that vid and bugging me with it by now..

Do you imagine that if Ean had gained no public interest in the VCI 100 mods, MIDI Fighter, the mappings and all the other odds n ends, that his sole income was from spinning music in clubs and mebbe, god forfend, a day job, that this website and forum would exist in the same capacity today?
it may not alienate you, but it is alienating Teebee… and when he posted it on his twitter 4610 people potentially saw a reasonably big name DJ criticise DJTT (and that’s not even mentioning the additional 3191 friends on facebook that also saw the tweet)
but I suppose they say any publicity is good publicity but it’s still a shame to think that some peoples first exposure to DJTT is through a negative tweet on a dnb dj’s twitter.
