Headphones For Me and You

Headphones For Me and You

Hey DJTT i was just looking at amazon and saw [ame=“Amazon.com”]these[/ame] headphones and was wondering if they are any good becasue i dont really have much money. Do you have any other suggestions because i really want some good headphones and my budget is less than 70 dollars. Do you recommend me these skullcandy or can you link me to some good headphones please? thanks

Theres been a lot of chatter about Skull-Candy on this forum.
I have heard that they last about 10 minutes.
Waste of money dude.

Nope, don’t go near those.

Save up and get something good unless you want to buy something bad a few too many times.

The wires will break on those and you’ll have to get another pair. You can get some Sony MDR7506’s for $100 and they’re much better headphones.

I’ll second that. I have a pair of the Sonys and they rock

yup stay away from skull candy awful headphones all round

same a lil bit more and get these, i just received them and they are awesome:

The Sony’s are great - mine have lasted for 10 years. I’ve heard bad things about Scull Candy, shame, 'cos they LOOK nice…

yep stay way from sc! i had a pair and the cables broke after about using them for 3 months…shit quality, nice design, good price, shit quality

i literally just got the sonys 5 mins ago, luving every second of it right now, taking it to work to test it out

Don’t touch SkullCandy indeed.

I tend to have a bit of love & hate relationship with the Sony’s. Sometimes I adore 'em, sometimes I hate 'em.

I can’t wait to get my mittens on the Sony HDJ500. Hoping these will be the headphones for me.

any other suggestions guys, cheaper

Sony MDR-V900

iFrogz? Never heard of em but cheap, 50mm drivers, ugly as sin. Could be epic.

Naxa NX 916

I can only vouch for the Sony’s. The rest are a gamble, but i’m sure they can’t be too bad.

I used these crappy $15 Numarks (http://www.guitarcenter.com/Numark-HF-125-Dual-Cup-DJ-Headphones-103411708-i1126204.gc ) for a few years and they blew the doors off those skullcandys. All the cables are junk in those things. Using both the Sonys and the Pioneer DJ-5000s right now and am quite happy with either of them at under $100.

Ok, I gotta say this…even though I’m liable to get somewhat flamed for it: SKULLCANDY ISN’T ALL BAD.
Lower end skullcandy’s are pretty crappy and I wouldn’t touch the TI’s cause the construction on them isn’t too great.
That said, I have a pair of SK Pro’s… have had them for almost a year now and no problems yet. Really solid construction on them, great headband (same as the ones you see on DJ1 Pro’s or O2’s), and they sound miles better than ANY other Skullcandy headphones I have ever listened to.
My only problems with them is the lack of removable cable and the fact that they are open rather than closed, so they bleed a fair bit of sound (thought at higher volumes you can’t hear whats going on outside of em)…
Possible gripe for some people is that they are relatively bass heavy, which I actually like about them.
Mind you these things cost me roughly 200$ canadian (with shipping, VAT, import fees)… and given skullcandy’s warranty policy? I think I’ve gotten my money’s worth so far. Plus they’re damn stylish.

Never tried them but alot of my friends tell me they didn’t last very long, my cousin had a pair and he said he broke them the first day… waste of 80 some dollars..

I have a pair of in ear Skullcandies that are great, but I use them only to listen to my iPod.

Not to DJ or Produce with

sennheiser makes some pretty good headphones you mind find something that suit your price range here you do get what you pay for though

I personally LOVE skullcandy headphones!

I’ve got a few pairs of the in ear buds(ink’d) for listening to the ipod, and i’ve got a paid of SK pro’s i sometimes use when playing out!

no problems here!
