Help Setting Up Hercules Rmx With Traktor

Hey guys I have a problem when setting up my new Hercules RMX with Traktor scratch pro.

I have installed the mapping which works fine. However I cannot setup cueing through my headphones. It only plays through the headphones and not through my amp. I am using a Laney amp which is connected to my laptop through a usb Soundcard. Then I have my RMX connected to my laptop through USB.

I have tried connecting my headphones to my RMX and connecting them to my laptop but it does not work. I only hear through the headphones and not through my amp so I cant cue the next song.

That is the soundcard I am using. What I dont understand is that I can get it to work fine with virtual DJ but not Traktor.

Hey djhutchx,

The RMX has a built in sound card, so you should try to connect your amp directly into the RMX’s outputs 1 and 2 on the back. This will be simpler and more effective then using the USB soundcard.

In Traktor Preferences, select the RMX as your Audio Device. Go to Output Routing. Output master should be Outputs 1 and 2, and output monitor should be outputs 3 and 4. Plug your headphones into either of the inputs (top or front). You shoyld then be good to go. Using the cue select buttons, you should be able to turn on and off your headphones.

Edit: If your stereo does not have an RCA output and only a 3.5mm output (ex. an iPod cable), you will need one of these:

Thanks I managed to get it work with a RCA cable lying around :slight_smile:
