How to achieve this animation
When he holds the button right button in the second bank at 0:32 seconds, it does does one of the flashing animations. How do you achieve this in Ableton?
The last page of the 3D’s User Guide shows what messages you need to send back to get brightness/pulse/gate control. In that case he is sending Ch.4 D#1 with velocity 40. Basically you use the same note message the button normally sends but on Ch.4 which is what animations use.
