Is the MPD Series Still Worth It?

Hey guys, I’ve been practicing finger drumming because my Midi keyboard also has pads, but I want a portable pad controller that has a good amount of functionality for a decent price for when I’m travelling. I was looking at the MPD26, but then I was thinking that the MPD series came out a long time ago, and that Akai might do an update next year seeing as how they updated the MPK series this year. You think that’ll happen? Should I buy the MPD 26 now? Or wait for the possible price drop next year?

When it comes to gear, things coming out awhile ago are not always a bad thing. As there are so many more choices today people will undoubtedly be unloading there gently used gear for phenomenal prices which if you maintain you should be able to resell for near about the same price when you decide to go for the next best thing. :thumbsup:.
