Is there such a thing as too much bass?

Yeah Dillinja’s system is as loud as f*@! from what i heard its 50k and uses the old school valves. Apparently he got banned from a bunch of pubs in london cos his system was making the punters puke lol.

I heard a rumor that Lemon D, Dilinja and their valve sound system were banned from fabric london after destroying one of the bars with bass!!!

I saw them not long after, death bass!!!

edit: didnt see last posts

nice vid! 22.5 tons of bass!!!

Its not 50K its 96k and i think what happened at Fabric was they are restricted on decibels, an Dillinja doesnt let ppl use it unless its fully unleashed. So many places are restricted on the decibels now its so stupid, even the fetivals. The first Creamfields in Winchester was unrestricted and awesome, the next and following ones were heavily restricted.Milton keynes had a good venue, was 2 clubs joined for big events, one was Rock’n’roller or something cant remember the names but One Nation and Helter skelter did a couple there.Sadly heard they were closed down, but once they rocked a 250,000k system over 3 rooms, but they forgot to bring carts for the decks in room 3 lmao.

I puked at concord dawn i’m never drinking then going to watch drum n bass again!

This is true for singers because of natural harmonics in the human voice. When a tenor sings a note, it basically already contains the note that the Alto or Soprano would be singing anyway, in the form of a harmonic, so you would be able to hear the higher note, even if it was really quiet. In fact, your brain and ears automatically add in harmonics in chords even if the note isn’t played, only most people don’t realize this is happening.

Electronic pitches can work the same way, but it really depends on the shapes of the waveform. Not a physics guy, but I do remember a lot from music theory.

decibel restrictions are a good thing imo. if your ears haven’t yet been damaged by too loud speakers you will be totally satisfied with the caps at 110db and whatever. of course you can’t get around a little damage when youre going to concerts and clubs frequently. good earbuds really help.

i wanna be able to hear superloud music when i am old still and not have to walk to some valve soundsystem thing to really feel the music.

oh and one thing we can probably all agree one: music only sounds good when played loud

Nothing wrong with a lot of bass, as long as they are not distorting it and allowing the bass to go through it’s whole wave with out being clipped.

Sometimes you can make the bass sound louder by turning it down and allowing it go through it’s whole wave.

ah awesome thanks for that dude

lol that was silly. take pills like everyone else :stuck_out_tongue:

shit too much bass? no frakkin way. Only a toaster would say that. If it werent for bass I would of never fell in love with my mistress…hardstyle.

Me and my girl went to this really posh restaurant in Philly here and she got the bass entree and couldn’t finish it and was all like wow baby that was way too much bass .

Kaon that was b4 i started djing so i had to pay for them back then lol. cheap bastard :stuck_out_tongue:

ill say. bloody toasters!

checkout the village stage’s sound at Shambhala…

the bass is so loud i’ve heard stories that it makes some people sick. lol

i totally agree with Bento on his comment,i beleive too much bass can distort other frequencies and imo doesnt give the full spectrum of the artist sound.
