and one more thing this lap has someshit switchable graphic card /hard drive or some shit like that… plzz… i re installed the software too… there is no change… plzzzzz can anyone suggest something…???/
switchable graphic card/hard drive? huh? Usually those two things aren’t interchangeable between the two.
Did you try going into audio settings within windows and manually selecting the S4? Should be able to right click the speaker in the bottom right corner of the taskbar, next to the clock and go to sound properties.
@photojojo…guys not working means … the hardware not controlling the software… it gets connected but does not play when i hit the play button… the play button ignites green but nothing happens…@ksandvik…its constantly on…@SpeshulEd … i did that too… and no results…
The switchable graphics cards are actually pretty useful. It means that you have a higher quality gaming (style) card as well as an onboard intel (or equivalent) chip. You should be able to hot0switch between the two of them. This is useful when working just off the battery as it radically improves battery life etc. These switchable gfx configs are newer and you are effectively doubling up on the drivers and adding some kind of management tool to let you switch from to another. I would always run the S4 with the graphics set to the onboard chip.
If the same problems occur on two different machines then it is likely TSP2. If it were me (or whatever you are using). If it were me I would:
Disconnect your S4 and all other non-essential USB devices
Uninstall Traktor
Uninstall all your graphics drivers (do that in device manager)
Uninstall beats audio
Uninstall everything under Universal Serial Bus Controllers (you may lose your kb and mouse)
Reboot
DO NOT RECONNECT S4 or other items yet
Re-install Traktor
Connect S4
Test
If it works, re-install each of the outstanding items, one at a time. Test your S4 after each install. If it doesn’t work - re-install everything and we’ll scratch our heads some more…
It’s not elegant (at all) but it might be quicker than picking the problem apart.
I just got a new windows computer, Anway. did you go to NI website and download the NEW s4 drivers? I did this and installed them. running traktor pro 2 as smooth as butter
