wait and scope out your chances, the new controller might be exactly what you need or it could be completely useless to you. Im guessing the price will drop so either way waiting is a win win
Depends on your needs, the X1 does a better job on it’s original purpose. New one isn’t meant to replace it, else it wouldn’t be part of the video. The X1 current price is already a bargain for what it is.
def wait… the new controller is very different to the X1 plus the K2 is due out any time now which might be the best of both worlds… (apart from the gorgeous rgb led pads on this new one ofc )
The new NI controller looks to be dedicated to sample decks. The video shows two on the new controllers and an X1 to be used for transport duties. If you don’t use the sample decks, I don’t think you would get much use out of the new controller.
Those are the new sample decks from the Traktor 2.5 release, color coded to match the grid on the F1. Nothing in that screenshot indicates Ableton integration.
We shall see. It would be really stupid for NI to expect all of their users who already incorporate Ableton and Traktor - to have to rework all of their sounds and samples into a new traktor - without ability to simply link to Ableton.
Listen… Please stop wasting your time anticipating an Ableton bridge. It just won’t happen!!! Like I said all that shows is the new sample deck options. Has chuff all to do with Ableton! Have you not seen the new NI video where they talk about Traktor 2.5? I suggest you watch it. Then come back here.
And why would it be silly if NI didn’t make it easier for people who choose to route their audio through another companies software?! NI and Ableton are completely separate companies.
