Laptop Stand For Denon DN X1600… Any Suggestions?
Looking for something in the mid range, not something over priced like crane stands can be.
If possible a stand with adjustable height would be great ![]()

When you say ‘for the X1600’ how do you mean? So that it sits over it?
Sorry Laptop stands are universal to mixers, but I thoguht I should mention the mixer anyway. Yes Kind of so that it allows for ease of access to knobs and buttons on the top of the mixer hence an height adjustable one would be perfect.
If you know any you think would be good and suitable?
Well if I were you, I’d invest in the Crane Stand. I didn’t get one myself purely because I wanted mine to lock into place as it hovers over a turntable. So running the risk of it dropping if I didn’t tighten it hard enough was out of the question. But it is very adjustable.
you may think they are over priced but i have 2 crane stands and they are the best out there. ones they are locked in they do not more what so ever. They have 2 different models out right now, the pro and a cheaper one, and i also believe they have one priced in between coming soon as well.
Magma Stand’ll do you at a fraction of the cost of a Crane.
i’ll get a pic of my x1600 on the crane a bit later for you. i seriously doubt any other stand out there could hold 10Kg (20+Lb).
hmmm I really like the magma stands, I found one that can hold an additional unit e.g. my LPD8 on the front of the laptop ![]()
But I found crane stands around the same price so I am at a cross roads with this one.
Cant wait to see that haha
You aint kidding ![]()
Very Durable
Hmm i cant find any information on what the magma stand can hold, weight wise, but just looking at it i would’nt bet it could even hold a 2ch mixer without problems, mainly the feet seem a bit flimsy. with the clamps, maybe.
The Magma Traveler (which I have) is very very sturdy.
Well atleast I wont be using to hold my mixer, Ill keep looking anyway.
Just a question on Voltage, I can make out it says 230V on your mixer.
I bought mine in America, and just realised about 110V there.
Think this mixer will be safe to change to the plug to UK 3 pin @ 230V ?
Given you are from America, suggesting you bought your mixer locally, ill then assume it is safe ![]()
I’m in new zealand
we use proper power down here.
Read the electrical spec that should be written on the back of the mixer before you connect it. If it says 100-240V you’ll be fine, otherwise…
Yeah, I have two Crane stands, and can attest to their quality…you’ll be hard pressed to find a better stand.
If I may, I have a small question about the X1600 that I would appreciate an answer to?
Despite the fact that the X1600 has an Internal Soundcard, and is Traktor Scratch Certified,
it seems that every picture I see of one, there is an Audio 6 or 10 hooked up to it.
Is there something wrong w’ the Internal Soundcard? Does Traktor give trouble when
utilizing it’s functionality through the X1600?
I am just about to purchase either a Z2 or X1600, and am on the fence about both.
However, if I were to buy the X1600, I won’t be using an Audio 6 or 10, but will be
relying on the Internal Soundcard. Is this an unwise choice? Should I just accept the
Z2’s shortcomings and get it instead?
Sorry for the threadjack ![]()
I have the same situation here mate! I have noticed the audio card as well, I’m about to buy x1600 and would like to know is the soundcard is necessary.
Jester your turn now.
I use the audio 6 because i can’t get the x1600 soundcard running as smooth as i would like. (win 7 x64) i still utilise the midi features and midi clock, however.
I must ask why raise your mixer above your equipment?
