launchpad mk2… worth upgrade from original launchpad?

I’ve got the original launchpad, and I have a few niggles with it:

slow response to initialise the whole grid at the start / changing modes is slow also

it sometimes hangs (not ableton live, but the original launchpad) when changing modes.

I struggle to follow what pad is set to what clip, and where I am in the clip view.

as the pad are now rgb, they now change to the same color as you have set a clip to in Live.
this would help me with identifying where and what is going to be triggered with a pad.

has the reliability and responsiveness of the connection been improved with the mk2 ?

I wouldn’t use the other features of the pro version, so not worth getting the pro.

I loved the original LP. But had many of the same niggles as you do. Unfortunately, there are no fixes. :thumbsdown:

The MK2 looks great. The Pro just looks bloody amazing.

Sell your MK1, and use whatever money you can get your hands on to buy either a MK2 or a Pro. But, put simply, if the MK1 ain’t cutting it - change up!
