You need to map one toggle type modifier (o-1) and select modifier conditions for ON (1) and OFF (0). Since Traktor doesn’t offer them as a toggle type action such as ‘FX On’ or ‘play’ you need to do the trick.
Add in Modifier 1
Modifier conditions / M1=0
Type of controller-button
Interaction mode-direct
Set to value-1

Button off state is 0 and button on state is 1. Just dedicate them to corresponding commands for each time.
Thanks for the follow up! I’m sure that will be useful
Beat phase moves with grid so you indeed need a deck running to display it in LED output. If your mixing stays under three decks, than you could use your fourth deck as a beat phase support deck… Think about a loop recorder too, I remember I could create a solid blink state from there too.
mapping it to deck d worked. i just had to bind a button to play and mute deck d and i have to remember to load a track in it, then hide it. not 100% ideal, but works. thanks man.
I know. I wish NI allow for that kind of functionality without any workarounds. This is why I love my Midi Fighters - I can set any rate (pulsate or blinking) by using a dedicated settings channel in a controller.
To add on a concept, you can map all the deck D controls to your browse knob. You twist this knob to scroll your list anyways - at the same time this action can get your Deck prepared without thinking of everything. (volume, load, play, sync, loop)
I’m actually thinking of integrating a launchpad mini as a mapping tool that replaces that little modifier state displays in Traktor. I’m tired of the looking in the controller manager so I had this idea to map my BASE controller which currently serve in that purpose. But LP mini seem to be perfect controller for this use case.
