little problem mapping FX on Traktor

I am using F1 on MIDI mode to map some effects, the idea is just tapping on one button and the effect goes on instantly.

What I do is adding the following mapping for each controller-button I want to trigger an effect:

  1. Effect Selector - to choose the effect
  2. Knob - to select the know position
  3. Button (FX button) - to activate the effect (both HALT and DIRECT mode)

The problem I face is that the mapping actually does the job, BUT not quite:

  • If I used the same effect immediately before, it works well.
  • If another preset is selected and the Button (Fx button for ON OFF) is off, when I press the button of the effect gets selected but the on off button gets active just for an instant
  • Then if I use it again or if I double tap then it works well

Since the problem seems bit difficult to explain I added a video (gif) to show this weird behaviour:
In the gif first I tap 3 times the same effect and you can see how all 3 buttons get on simultaneously, it works well.
After that I tap 3 times but not the same effect, I switch between different effects and it has a weird behaviour.

Add FX Store Preset command to your button mappings :slight_smile:

Add In → FX Units → FX Store Preset

Glad to hear it!

The Store Preset will store effects in it’s ON STATE allowing you to insert already activated effects.

This is basically a snap shots for effects. Check out this vid to learn more about this feature.
