Loop encoder knob problem

Loop encoder knob problem

I’ve had my s4 for about 2 weeks now, and really enjoy everything about it. I had some problems getting it to run without audio glitches on a windows 7 laptop, but I think that is all sorted out now. Possible problem I have now is I went to play it the other day, about 6 days ago, and the encoder for loop size on the A deck was bent noticeably to the side. So when I rotated it it would sort of roll around back and forth. I took off the rubber top and used some pliers to straighten it back out. It is almost like it was now, and appears to work just fine. I am curious if anyone has had this happen, or knows if this may be an issue down the line. I actually have no idea how it got bent, no one but me has touched it, and I haven’t been drunk playing with it.

If it wasn’t bent before then someone bent it. Anybody around that could have accidently done it?

Literally no one that I am aware of. Someone would have had to break in to do it. I’m just really hopping that this won’t cause issues down the line, it works fine now. More curious to if anyone has had similar issues with knobs/encoders getting bent then bending them back without issue.

It was probably this guy. He’s looking for somewhere to hide.
