Mashup Software

Mashup Software

As much as i dislike commercial top 40 Mashup’s, some of the house and electro ones arent too bad.I want to get into some kind of production, and i figure Mashups are a good place to start. As DJTT just released their review of Mixed In Key Mashup software, I was wondering what other softwares out their are:
A. affordable
B. Easy to Use/ good for beginners
C. Fun

I have Logic Pro 9 on my Macbook, and i’ve set myself the goal of completing a full track by the end of the summer (im completely new to production).

Cheers!

Does not compute o.o

Anyway, MiK’s software made me interested in Mashups as well, I’ll be watching this thread.

Ableton Live is the software for mash-ups/remixes…

+1
Their timestretching engine is amazing, and the software allows for the highest precision of track manipulation, so if you want good sounding mashups, ableton.

Problem with Ableton is that it’s very advanced. A bit overkill if all you want to do is create quick mashups “just for fun”, seems like MiK’s Mashup is more suitable for that.

If you already have Logic I would just use logic. I actually use Logic to make my Mashups and I think its great once you figure everything out. At the end of the day it really comes down to your music rather than exactly what software you use.
