I’m submited, let us know any news.
There would be any charge to update to the new version?
unfortunately there is.. 30 bucks ![]()
Seems really better then the old version, I’m waiting for the first review ![]()
I received a VIP email… free upgrade.. I had version 4.1.. and the “Elite” thingy checked in the Options

Nice, thanks for sharing it!
This weekend will be a long one, finally getting my hands on my first macbook ![]()
Would I be right in thinking that I should reanalyse all my tracks with the new version if it has this improved key detection?
sweet. cheers for the heads up ![]()
sweet! got it free! ![]()
i thought MIK promised free updates for life ?
hmmm…
EDIT: to all the people who got it free, how?!
Still undecided, waiting for a review.
i thouht that too, but a new software version is no update per definition i guess…
It seems if you purchased MIK before the end of 2008, you get lifetime free updates, after that you pay the upgrade price.
I paid the $29.99 upgrade, as i really needed the multiprocessor analysing … this i7 scanned through an entire rippped CD in a few mins, pretty impressive, so wasn’t worth arguing over.
It has changed a couple of tracks keys on some other older tracks, and i feel the are correct now (haven’t checked the old fashioned way with a keyboard and ear - but that’s for later today).
downloading now… not going to lie i had the pirated version for a long time, but now that im not broke and now that i realize how vital this process is to organizing my tracks I finally decided to buy it ![]()
It’s an awesome piece of software. It’s just another tool for track selection - you don’t have to use it for EVERY transition.
you’ll notice a huge jump from MIK2.5 (the last fully working pirated copy) ![]()
Like you i tried the pirate version, and was impressed enough to buy the real one MIK4 …
MIK5 is 1000% better than MIK2.5
As the previous poster indicated, you don’t have to use it for every transition, but it does help create really nice build ups by using the Camelot scale .. you can hear the difference ..
i got the email but though the $30 is way to much for an upgrade. that’s like 60% of the purchase price and they have no demonstration of how the new version improves key logging
+1
