I’ve been trying to get into it but I’m finding it pretty rare that there is a track I “must have”. I’m not against it’s style is just I’m finding a lot of shit. I should probably search elsewhere but I don’t care enough too. That’s my take on it.
I also agree it’s like dubstep to me. A track here or there is fine but If I listened to an hour mix of this I’d probably want to hang myself with my headphones.
I agree somwhat. I think dubstep and moombah are ok in doses. I’ve been listening to a LOT of moombahton/moombahsoul tracks lately and I can do it for a while in the car… BUT I need to break the monotony occasionally. I’ve heard DJs play moombah parties and they are very cool, as I think it is a genre INTENDED for DJs.
Ok so ive researched this “genre”, wow and i though dubstep was bad this is shocking, i love reagge and ragga jungle etc, cant stand dancehall and all it is is dancehall mixed with some wierd noises here n there, hope this doesnt pick up as its shocking, long live orginal reagge ragga jungle tek what is it with the kids these days slowing electronic music down!
I hate Moombahton as much as I hate when people call dubstep “dub”. And im assuming you mean dubstep because if you like Moombahton that is probably the case.
I dont minda a bit of Moombahton. I think it’s some great chilled Sunday arvo type stuff. I think this is the kind of stuff you should be hearing on a dim, trendy upmarket bar… not Top40 crap!
Could we use this thread to keep each other up to date on the new good tunes?
I’m finding it hard to keep my finger on the pulse, especially as no sites list moombahton as a genre to browse songs by!
