what drugs do you need to take to like moombahton?

STROOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG ones … not feeling it all from what I’ve heard.

you should check out some tracks Bigbeatzz on this forum made. Very different than the electro/dutch/dubstep Moomba tracks out there.

Very chill moomba kinda like slowed down tribal house you would listen to lounging at a pool party.

Some of the other stuff I’m not really feeling. Some of the hip hop remixes when done right are pretty dope.

…having said all that. No amount of drugs can make me enjoy dubstep

All of them

yeah i’ll give it a shot. i’m not one to have a go at genres just to be that guy who hates every new trend.
just what i’ve heard so far sounds like a slowed down version of major lazer - just not my idea of good music.

Why was I only allowed to choose only one!?!?!?!?

because cocktailing drugs is dangerous and i don’t want anyone to hurt themselves trying to like moombahton.

Not a single one!

Nutmeg!

something that’s not on the list 'cause nobody dares to invent it. Something like the drug equivalent of the talking bomb from Dark Star, or one of Professor Farnsworth’s Doomsday machines. But as a pill.

Something that would speed it up to a sensible BPM so it actually feels like there’s a drop at some point in the song. Hate this shit.

Also hate the way Diplo’s jumped on the ‘newest hype’ train.

i would have voted for crocdile (http://www.time.com/time/world/article/0,8599,2078355,00.html). but no chance. so had had to choose crack!

I lol’d

hahahahah exactly right

haters gon hate

I am a hater of Moombahton. And I don’t care who knows it!

[QUOTE=Also hate the way Diplo’s jumped on the ‘newest hype’ train.[/QUOTE]

I’m thinking one of the only reasons many of you have heard of this style is because Diplo’s been hyping this for well over a year. Some people ride the train, others start it. I’ve let it pass, but I’ve learned to never write off an entire genre based on the crap I’ve heard. I’m still getting used to the idea that House music isn’t only played in gay bars.

What the bloody hell is moombahton?

Agreed, i think this about sums up how i felt reading this thread:

I didn’t get it for a while and one day I just couldn’t get a track out of my head. Some of it sucks a hard one but some is ok. I did 3 edits/remixes of some songs and enjoyed the process. Check them out:

As some said haters gonna hate, but hey music is about what you’re feeling. If someone else isn’t feeling it who cares, music is personal. The goal is to get a room full of like minded individuals together and bring it big. All in all I am a House DJ and have been one for the last 17 out of my 20 DJ years. Change is cool, expand the brain and see what happens.

Also no drugs for me but some booze helps the boogie.
