Need a small MIDI Controller with knobs and some buttons

Ok, so i am looking for a small midi controller, with at least 6 knobs and 6 buttons (maybe drum pads?) so i can control effects in traktor.

I see vision of a korg device in my head, but god knows what it is and binging it pulls up nothing.

anyone know of such device?

Akai LPD8?

One of the Korg Nano series might do the job

+1, great little bonus controller

the new mpk mini seems good, if you want some more keys

+1 lpd8

Works great for me other than a few quirks with setting up the LED’s.

Or the new vestax pad one for a little better build quality that the Korg series. At least I think it’ll be better, it’s not released yet so no one really knows.

Anyone know of a good small midi box with endless encoders on it?

Nocturn, but it doesn’t play well with Traktor AFAIK

the mpk Mini is pure sex… and a $99 street price is pretty damn nice.

Just bought AKAI LPD8 for Cue control using my Reloop DJ2 Interface and Traktor PRO.
After a few tutorials of presets and mapping (just check on google u will find it - djtechtools forum) i’m really happy with it =)

thanks everyone, the LPD8 looks like what i need. 50 bucks from Amazon.

Ive done farts that last longer that the Korg Nano Series… Not worth the money. You will end up buying something else very soon , especially if you gig and have to put it in and out of your gig bag.

The Akai series is a winner. Well built and they feel good to use.

yep… lpk25 got violated by an lpd8

+1 to general AKAI recommendations. I’ve gone throught 3 (yes - THREE) nanopads since I got the lpd8 and the lpk25. the korgs are nice design-wise but the build quality is poor, to say the least.

korg nanokontrol is not like korg nanopad, I have two for 4 months and they are still rocking

i like that, but the Akai is perfect for what i need, knobs and pads. Knobs for effects and pads for beat juggling.

apc40!

sorry, i feel i have to post in every thread about this now :disappointed:

Faderfox maybe

the one at bpm was better built
