I am looking to buy a midi controller and I can’t the find the one that suits my needs.
What I need is a controller with just pads and knobs, but no faders. I don’t need anything special but something that will work with Ableton for a live setup. I’ve had a look around and what I would like is something similar to the Akai LPD8 but with 4x as many knobs/pads.
Any suggestions? I want to keep costs as low os possible.
Thanks for your reply. I had discovered the Beatstep since I posted this thread. Is there anything which is essentially the same but bigger? I may need more knobs than that.
There’s the Novation Launchkontrol XL, but it doesn’t come with so many pads.
It’s really either or, you’d have to sacrifice the pads for the knobs and the other way around.
Best idea would be to buy a Launchpad and a Launchkontrol XL.
