Here you go, here’s a link to an early review of the DN-MC6000

With almost the exact same MSRP as the Kontrol S4 I would go with the S4 just for the newer Traktor

Anyone else think this is geared to the TPS4 functions too?

Sampler functions on the controller?

Which begs the question, did denon know about this new software too? Because TP doesnt currently have a use for sampler buttons.

If so, why would you plump down $1000 for the TPS4 package and then go and get this controller instead?

You wouldnt.

So denon are either really stupid or the current version of Traktor pro will be getting the same functions as the S4 when this controller ships. Or maybe you could buy the S4 software/upgrade separately.

It’s already been said here and on the NI site that Traktor Pro will get the sampler deck and loop recorder in an upcoming update.

for a moment, i wass depressed that wouldnt get sampler decks. you made my day

Cool, so I guess this controller will be released around the time NI updates TP. Anyone got a release date on it?

It does look like a nice piece of hardware though, something about it looks more professional than the S4.
Kinda like the jogs on the bottom of the unit too, but thats what im used to. I wouldnt be against the change though.

I wonder how the soundcard stacks up against NI’s . .

Its geared toward Virtual DJ. It will get released in south/northamerica and canada with a special VDJ LE like the American Audio VMS4. Only in Europe it will get released with TP LE. I dont think it will get shipped with anything thats close to the new traktor pro s4.

Chances are also very strong that it will get released in Europe bundled with VDJ too.

I think a big draw for this controller over the S4 is that it’s ready to handle video.

Thats VDJ´s capability, not the mixers. I guess its just really tied in with mapping, makin´it seem like its a mixer function rather than VDJ´s.

Biggest advantage I see to this is that this will do mixing without a pc. The new NI device looks like it has to be hooked to a computer.

They basically phrased the sentence as if they designed the controller FOR Traktor but made it natively support Virtual DJ?

In my head that would mean a design (layout of buttons designed for traktor features, natively plug n play mapped to virtual dj).

Doesn’t that ring any wtf alarms ?

Im drawing closer to the s4 now after seeing the pics.

However there is a new firmware coming out for the scs1d which should put it back with the players . Maybe ill just buy an s4 anyway

if i didnt already have the X1 - i might look into getting the DN-SC2000 , looks pretty decent!

Maybe buy all of them controlller heaven

Here is a hi-res pic. I would love a DJTT shoot-out between this and the S4 controller. By looking at the pic, it’s already set up for the sampler addition to Tracktor Pro.

Denon will probably undercut the S4 even more to gain market share.

When’s this out?

how does this compare to AA VMS-4?

It’s better.
