Will come out in october in the uk and nearly same price as the s4 , so s4 comes with software so better buy i think ?
I’m really stoked for the DN-SC2000 to come out. How’s about a cheap way to control your extra decks on TSP. Nice and long pitch fader to boot.
I dont think it does to be honest, I heard horrible things about the VMS-4, plenty of people returning it for horrid sound quality and engineering (i.e: noise bleed from faders when they are completely lowered)
Yep totally different class of controller from the American Audio thing. This competes with the S4 and the Xone DX very well I think though.
It comes out in November.
It will be $799 in the US (not sure about pound/euro pricing) which is $200 cheaper than the S4.
Will not have the S4 software (only Traktor LE in europe).
From what i understand it doesnt have timecode (shame) but it doubles as a conventional mixer.
It weighs 10-12lbs.
Not sure yet about the soundcard but id guess a 24/96.
Here is a pic with top/front/back.
what i like is that it has 4 sample buttons on each side. is that based around vdj (which i believe is what i ships with in US) or geared toward when the sampler update comes out for TPro?
also it’s release date suggests that maybe it’s le version might have some kind of simplified version of the samplers, as hopefully by then the TPro update would have been released…?
Man, I’m really weighing this against the S4. It’s such a bummer the US version only comes with VDJ, I wonder if I ordered the Euro ver. what issues I might have. I’d guess just power, which a simple converter would fix… Hmmmmm
Yeah I’m liking this to. Can’t wait for some real world tests against the S4. I already have traktor Pro so I’m not worried about what it comes with.
cloning my post from the s4 thread (with a couple of changes)
uk price looks ok…

as per usual the optimism of decks.co.uk has amused me
“Place your order in the next 2 Days 22 Hours 35 Minutes and 9 Seconds for delivery in 4 days (Tuesday 24 August 2010)”
lol
and the s4 is £60 more, atm…

You can get your hands on a copy of Traktor LE in minutes by asking for any spare ones people have sitting around.
I always recieve this error when I try to access the Denon site:

It must be a region error or something…
Try to do a hard refresh by pressing command r on a mac or f5 on a PC.
Unit looks great. With the exchange rate here should be able to pick one up for about $1200 NZ. Watch this space for some reviews tho huh
it has balance outputs which is a plus, baffled by the NI just having unbalanced outs,
especially at this pro price point
The S4 has two balanced 1/4" outs.
Hi guys, my name is Silvio from Denon DJ and I’m a new member here on this great forum. I can assist you with any Denon DJ related product information or questions.
Yes, they are high resolution Jogs, over 2,000 pulses per cycle.
Pitch slider is 14-bit resolution
The sample buttons can be used for sample keys or additional Hot Cue’s
4 – Hot Cues plus 4 – Samples
Or
8 – Hot Cues
Also this controller can be used with VDJ which does offer samples.
The MC6000 is geared for Traktor users, however since USA Mobile DJs require video & Karaoke control, VDJ is a better fit for them in our region. Traktor LE will ship for EU users, 100% sure of that.
If you already own the full version of Traktor or VDJ, the included LE discs have no meaning to you. Its basically for new users.
Sorry about that, we are looking into it.
True, almost 98% of all total-like controllers require a computer connection.
You can use the MC6000 with turntables or CD players with or without a computer connection as it’s a true real 4-ch mixer. The Mic inputs are not routed through the software, they are are true inputs, so you will never have the usual Mic latency issues found software Mic support.
End of Nov, $799 (USA) map price
Thanks, we add a little more control than the very cool NI X1
Long 100mm pitch slider and Jog Wheel control for easy cueing or scratching.
Cool, welcome to the forums…
So:
“Yes, they are high resolution Jogs, over 2,000 pulses per cycle.
Pitch slider is 14-bit resolution”
Does that mean they are HID or you’ve somehow got the midi to be higher res?
Cheers
Welcome aboard. It’s Nice to see someone from the company active in the community. That kind of thing goes a long way when people are deciding what to buy.
Awesome, inside information! Byebye, Karlos ! (jokes, jokes)
Can’t believe denon was not yet a registered name ![]()
Thanks for the info’s
