OT: Gear Lust!!!
its gotten real bad, im checking this website and forum every couple of hours for any bits of info. i am JONESING about NI’s new product announcement in Feb. I’ve got some money saved up and I have to stop myself from going to guitar center or the apple store and just blowing it all. anyone else skitzing out as bad as me?
lol, hell yeah. got into some cash. caught some serious case of gear-acquisition syndrome.
I just need new monitors and a 49 keys midi keyboard, then I’m done 
Could do with a new mixer, as the one that the bloke who sold me my technics threw in is a POS - though the wife and I are expecting May, so new gear is a lot further down the list than a cot and nappies tbf …

What happens to me is I start saving up and the once I get to around 3 or 4 hundred dollars I buy things like midi fighters and the kontrol X1 haha.
Hoping I’m gunna land my win on a set of cdj 800’s today. Woo!
If I dont, I might just go to Long and McQuade to get 2 new cdj-350s. GASS
That’s exactly what I do, in trying to save up for a major purchase, I buy little stuff chipping away at the savings . I rocked the club with Traktor Pro, and Audio2DJ, and a TriggerFinger , that’s some cheap stuff, but worked awesome, now saving for an S4 without knowing what’s coming next is killing me. I really hope I don’t drive near a guitar center today
I’ve been seriously jonesing for a MPD32 for a couple months now, but since I have a 24 I keep telling myself I don’t need it.
Recently, I learned of my Audio 4 Dj’s…limitations and now I want the 8, or the new 5/10.
Also, APC40. For serious.

totally the new traktor (really hoping its free/under $100) the day it comes out… but i also wanna upgrade my 3rd party vst for ableton (thinkin stutter edit, but $150 → as a dropped price? $250 regular? da fuck is that shit?)
would love to upgrade my spin to say the s4 but dunno if its worth the cash yet. deff not till the summer
Totally buying a bigger PA tho (peavy? i had a set of them in my frat basement and i loved em), mine arent really cutting it if i wanna take em to a bigger gig.

at work we use the same peavy amps bought in 1992, they don’t seam to be dying any time soon.

Yeah I had some serious gear lust starting around last summer, was constantly oggling various gear online non-stop, which eventually led me to this site, which only made that initial lust even worse…Luckily I got a ton of grant money for college, totally out of the blue, at the beginning of this year, and first thing I did was order a VCI-100 Arcade Edition (about two weeks ago)…Argg playing the waiting-game has been agonizing so far…
Lol I always find myself in lectures browsing gear sites or forums lately haha. I’m jonesing for a nice keyboard controller right now, although being a pianist by trade i naturally can’t find any below 800 that feel halfway decent to me lol. But ill probably get a Novation 49SL MKII.
That and I need a good DAW, either Logic Express or Ableton live (theyre about the same price with Education discounts).
P.S. if anyone here recommends one over the other for making EDM please let me know.

Maschine is way up there, along with a ddm 4000 and an audio 8… after that will be a midifighter, a cheap micro korg and followed by ableton 8…
