OT: Which Flyer Do You Prefer?

OT: Which Flyer Do You Prefer?

simple enough, let’s see what you guys think. i’ll let you know why i’m asking after some response has been generated. i don’t want to bias anyone’s opinion.

FLYER #1

FLYER #2

first one by a mile =D

+1

both are pretty bad… i say find a professional and get something decent done. not to knock anyone’s stuff, but when you compare either one to a flyer done by a professional designer you can tell the difference. hope you understand what i mean.

take a look at some club flyers online…

Flyer 1

#2

Lance is right, but if you’re pressed for time and funds - go with the first one.

1st one is better… but green doesnt reallly work in there really.

first one bruv .

I also say #1.

#1: but both the caption and the artist-list is difficult to read.

#1 is finshed better (ie layout etc) but looks dated
#2 is doesn’t look finished but I like the styling slightly better

If I had to chose i would say #2.

Can’t be anymore help than that, but remember Google Images is always your friend. If I’m doing a flyer it always helps with a good solid image?

Numero uno.

cool, think i got a consensus now.

the first one was made by a guy in town, the second one was mine :stuck_out_tongue:

personally, i love mine. i may be biased, but i think it’s the best i’ve done yet (obviously “best” is relative here).

i was put off a bit when the promoter jammed mine and went with the other one. personally i think it’s bland. but it’s good to see that most people prefer it, since they went with it.

for the good of the night! thanks for all the feedback guys.

Although I like some of the direction of the second one better, the first one is better organized and gets information across much better (in terms of legibility and priority/font size)

This just goes back to another problem with the club industry in the US. Corners are cut, and it shows. Things look amateur, but they are amateur… This isn’t directed at you for trying to make something. The problem likes with the cheap club owners, and poor promoters… spend the couple dollars to get a proper graphic made. I don’t think you would see Pacha putting out a flyer that some kid in town tried to make… but that is why those clubs are on the map and others aren’t…

Neither one blew me away but …I would have said #2.

yeah..we’re not trying to be pacha. we’re not trying to be the coolest, most attractive club in town. yes, when it comes to marketing, professionalism pays off, but sometimes the funds aren’t in order. it also gives a bit of community spirit when you have locals make the flyers. personally i wouldn’t want a pro flyer for this, even if it blew me away. it’s just not what i prefer. it’s not a club, it’s a cafe. and in this case, the main focus is on the lineup, not the projected image.

i think if you hand drew a bomb lineup with a piece of paper and a sharpie and photocopied it, you’d still have just as big of a turnout as if it were a pro flyer.

I liked the second one. It made me look at it twice, which is more than I can say for the first.

I’m not much of a flyer guy really, the only thing I care about is it being legible.
