It starts off with telling myself, “I want some cue points and loop controls, something like a midifighter”. Then I think, “want faders too, ooh and 8 knobs, and an endless encoder”.
cuz now, everything from a dual diy midifighter scheme, to mpd32, to nanoKontrol + nanoPad.
So. lol
any suggestions for a controller that has:
4-6 faders
8 encoders
and 16 pads???
ive thought of:
midifighter
mpd24/32
bcf2000
Pad+Kontrol
What he said. APC 40. What program is this for? Will your style of play benefit from having extra hardware? Are you on top of your game with your current hardware? If not, I’d say work on new techniques and tricks with the stuff you already have…
I have my ddm4000 w 2 channels and midi, and wasnt able to comfortably configure cue points, which i have yet to actually learn to use for that reason.
initially, what planted the “thought seed” was thinking about having to take my ddm into a crowded club booth.. so I wanted a good additional AND stand alone controller.
I’m wondering how easy it is the modify a midifighter into using those expansion ports for 4 faders and 4 encoders.. Hmmm.???
I want a pitch, fine pitch, key, and fx fader(s) for each deck, and 1 of the 4 encoders could double up as a song select encoder if its a Push-button encoder.
would be cheaper too…
