Pioneer DDJ-T1

Pioneer DDJ-T1/DDJ-S1

all props to aboutdj.nl, just posting this, cause it might be of interest to some of you:

New pic:

And there’s a Serato version too, the DDJ-S1:

Looks like a rival for the denon DN-MC6000 and the S4.

Also on the same site something about the new Numark NS6.

All these new toys coming out… I think i’ll just stick to my 2 Kontrol X1’s. For some reason the completeness these products are aiming for is really not what I’m looking for, since I want some modularity which makes it more versatile.

Looks like the Pioneer even has a soundcard in it. (IF the assumption is correct based on PFL and headphone volume controls availability)

By the way, It would be interesting if they would produce just the middle part as a 4 channel midi-mixer…

That looks exciting
They’re really happy about not going anywhere with cue buttons, though.

I can agree with you all the way there.
I’ve been looking into a midi mixer to go along with my arduino deck thing I posted a few days ago.
I have no intention of building it at present, but I think a midi based mixer (possibly with a soundcard), as a stand alone solution looks more and more like a viable solution.

thats just begging to be used with traktor.
id get it if it was sub $1000 and i had the cash

that’s huge. will feel bad if/when it dominates everything else that has been producing controllers for the last few years though.. suppose if it’s quality then it’s just good competition.
perhaps it’ll be released with an updated rekordbox software with more functions

it says traktor on the lower lefthand side of the mixer section

EDIT: the link is dead now. glad i saw it while it was up

Seems there will be two versions:

DDJ-T1 without VU leds and Traktor support
DDJ-S1 with VU leds and Serato support

any photos or anything? anyone screen cap dat shtufff
EDIT: found a photo for future refrence

lol ive been wondering how long it would take pioneer to get on the controller bandwagon. if theyre the same jogs as the 400 (which they kinda look like), i think id quite like that controller. Large pitch faders are a HUGE plus, and 2 FX banks, plus it looks like they have incorporated the “deedle drop” function of the 2000’s on it… pioneer seem to have nailed it with this one. hopefully when this is released people will take whole “controllerist” thing a little more seriously. Im kinda sick of having to prove myself to clubs on their gear before being allowed to bring my own.

if its true what you say about the VU leds, i hope they incorporate it into the traktor edition. It would be nice to have VU’s on the controller, that way the ONLY time i have to look at my screen is for track selection.

quite a nice looking controller… hopefully its not ridiculously overpriced like the rest of pioneers gear… who am i kidding… its probably gonna be at least 1500

haha… deedle drop… i meant needle drop… :stuck_out_tongue:

Looks awesome, but appears even bulkier than the S4, which is a beast itself.

Imagine showing up to a club with just your laptop and software and one of these bad boys installed!!!

Screw burning off CD’s!

Would be awesome to see clubs start installing 4-channel controllers as a standard, especially since i doubt you’d ever find space in the average booth for one of these/s4/mc6000.

No vu-meters ?
no filters ?
that’s the big reason I love mixing on a DJM 800…
massive failure if it’s real

However I think it’s fake, doesn’t really look Pioneer, seems like numark..

the only good think is the jog wheels.

plus it’s way to back. I wish they made it in seperated parts

I don’t think it’s a fake…it seems to be real or the photo is really wellmade:

as you said…no vu meters nor filters = big fail

Color me excited!

Yeah I saw that picture, you’re right looks pretty real.
I was expecting much more from Pioneer. They just copied the other 4 channel all in controllers.
That grey is really ugly.

Let’s hope it’s a prototype, and that the final version as bigger cue buttons, vu meters, and filters…

The good thing though : the classic pioneer cue buttons, and the pitch

However it looks much bigger than an S4. (like the numark NS6). getting a S4 to a club is already hard, how will you manage to take this out ?

maybe it targets mobile and bedroom DJs more than club DJs…

Looks like it is quite thin and is raised up off the surface it’s sitting on. Maybe they’ve done this so it can sit across a traditional set up?

that would be good news.

I just did a quick comparaison with a CDJ 400, this unit should be 61 cm wide… this is huge! as big as 2 CDJs side by side…

I was hoping for a simple CDJ 400 without the cd player, and 200 €*cheaper
