The way I see it, since the I/O is on the side of the RMX-500 I could run: Soundcard>RMX-500>RMX-1000>Mains and have them both on one crane stand with the 500 against the front and the 1000 on top of that. EEE! So excited to try this shit out.

Also I believe the RMX-500 will come with a Pioneer X-Stand, so you will be able to use it on side of the RMX-1000

I HIGHLY doubt one will be included, but I might grab two after I see how this works. That way i can put my MBP back on the crane and have a stand for each RMX.

looks cool and all but the allure of the rmx 1000 was the isolation effects and this doesn’t seem to have them. the price is much nicer but they still don’t integrate well with my current set up so ill just have to stick with my f1 to control traktor effects
I won’t say they’re ALL the allure. The allure IMO was Macro Effects. One Knob. One Idea. Multiple Effects.
As an RMX-1000 owner the isolators are cool and all, but damn son. Those scenes.

I just made a pre-order for a RMX-500 on Dolphin Music! apparently I’m going to get it in the next couple of weeks and I can’t wait! Anyone else pre-ordered yet?

There a way to use this with Traktor or is this only for Serato?
It is not for any software. The RMX 500 and 1000 are hardware FX devices.

You just run it alone the audio chain. It has a set of RCA ins and a set of RCA outs. I learned my RMX-1000 with it hooked up to my ipod.
Thanks guys for the help, so how would you run your headphones then? I can run my Traktor out to this, but my headphones that I cue and listen to master with are plugged into the S4. How would I work that?
There’s a Pioneer evening going on at a local music store on Tuesday that I’ll be attending. Hoping they’ll have this there… If they do, I’ll let you know. I’m seriously considering getting one.
make sure you are aware that you have to have a send/return on a mixer to be able to use this on individual channels, otherwise if you are just using a controller it will only work on the master, so not really a great buy.
With VDJ on pc you would be better off getting the RMX-1000 and using it as a VST hosted by VDJ if you wanted to effect individual channels.
I think the RMX 500 works as a VST in the same way too.
