Hi guys, i’m quite new to this stuff. I downloaded the iTM midi lab app for iphone, and had it working pretty sweet. All of a sudden I got a msg on my screen that said, somthing like “midi conflict”, and now Traktor won’t open at all, i’ve tried reinstalling Traktor, restarting my computer, and nothing seems to work Traktor still won’t open. I don’t understand. Could someone please help.
I uninstalled the ITM software and Traktor, then reinstalled Traktor. But it still won’t open. I have no idea what to do. and i really don’t want to reinstall windows.
This really doesn’t make sense. Are you maybe using an old desktop shortcut that is pointing to one of the Traktor’s you’ve uninstalled? Try going through the programs folder and opening directly from there.
Just tried opening from programs folder but not successful. Also found that there was a folder with the ITM templates. So I have deleted this and tired again but no luck. I will uninstall Traktor and reinstall in the morning. Any other ideas?
What version of Traktor, and you get this same message every time you reinstall Traktor? How are are you uninstalling traktor? When I used PC’s I would always unisntall via the control panel. If you are uninstalling that way then I would contact NI support and see if they can get you sorted out.
Restart your computer in safe mode (hit F5 while starting up) and try to open traktor in safe mode. Safe mode turns off all non essential drivers, so you may get some other errors, but if the program opens then you know it’s another driver or program that normally loads on start up.
I get a “send, don’t send” msg before Traktor even starts, and then Traktor wont even open. I did create a new user and Traktor opens fine, then when I load my tsi file into that user’s Traktor, it crashes again. So I thought if I create a new tsi file with a new user that will open Traktor, then use this tsi file to replace the old one, then open Traktor in my normal user, but this still didnt work. I’m really stuck on this one.
If i were you, I would back up all my information and delete the profile in question. The the things that are profile specific are the My Docs, Desktop, and Favorites folders. If you use Outlook then you’ll need to dig into the local settings folder to get your email archive.
Woohoo!!! I fixed it. For future reference, all I had to do was open a tsi file that I knew worked using Traktor. So, Right click open with and open it with Traktor. Thanks for all the help guys.
