Post Where you get your music from

I am curious to see where most dj’s get their music from.

  1. buy it legally
  2. limewire, napster, any music downloading software.
  3. torrents
  4. rapidshare, hotfile
  5. beatport
  6. youtube to mp3
  7. amazon

only torrents…

no that was a lie but seriously? what´s the matter for you to ask? i mean we here at djtt love buying our stuff (may it be software, tracks etc.) so i don´t think we should discuss the topic of bying/not buying tunes.
this has nothing to do with our community…so yeah.

“Tech Student”… sigh

and finding freebies that are given away legit on soundcloud by big names and no names alike

welcome to djtt

oops. looks like your thread pooped

youtube to mp3

I’ve heard that’s how all the dj’s get their stuff

And why is beatport & amazon seperate from buy it legally?
What do you know that we don’t? Hmmmm

I get a lot of my music on Stompy.com

I get all of my tunes exclusively through physical theft of vinyl from other DJs to harness their power.

Isn’t Napster legit now?

Beatport, iTunes, emusic, Juno, Stompy in the near future, Soundcloud, wherever I find what I want.

Blogs. It cuts down on the bull and gives you some biased opinion on the artist which isn’t always bad if you want to sound like a music snob to your friends.

my only problem with blogs is most of them DONT have permission from the artist to post stuff. i figured this out when i noticed from time to time they’ll yank stuff after getting emailed about it. but not until. So it seems to me they just post what they can find, get emailed from readers and see if they can get away with it.

i get that money is tight for people. shit i live in a mobile home. i get that more than anyone. but ive known a LOT of successful EDM producers over the years. I think maybe 1 of them actually paid their rent making EDM. So I wont take any chances because I totally believe in karma.

senior citizen’s attics, the garbage dump, swamps, underwater treasure chests, graveyards, hollowed out tree stumps, abandoned coal mines.
