[Rant] I can’t for the life of me Beatgrid this song…
GOD DAMNIT.. been trying for 45 minutes, as soon as I finish, the start is out of sync again… FML

can’t see the vid cos I’m at work, but have you tried tapping out the beat as a starting point?
this. if you’ve got a mixer with a manual beat detecter or something use that. or i’m sure there’s some on the internetz.. tap it out and plug that in the choon then grid it from there.
What genre is it? if the BPM changes then you’re fucked, but if not you’ll be fine. tap it out for a bpm, place a grid marker on the first proper beat and go from there.
The bpm sounds constant by ear.
tap and count the beat for 10 sec and multiply with 6 thats your bpm, rufly but its a value to work with, if you need more details go with the beat grid in traktor, fine tune by hand.

The problem is that Traktor won’t let me beatgrid it, because if I line up 50% of the song, the other 50% will be fucked, and vice versa.
You mean there’s a BPM switch? In that case there’s nothing you can do except grid it to one half and save the bpm value of the other half in the comments field.
i have the same problem with Benny Benassi - Cinema (skrillex Remix) that shit just doesnt wanna stay gridded.
BPMs are all over the place, I’ll warp it for you after lunch.
Edit: Did you buy the track? I downloaded the track from 2 different hosts (for testing purposes) and the 1st one was quite problematic. It’s 128.000 BPM

This Track will not beat grid. It is a constant tempo but a breakddown finishes a little early. If you send me a copy of the track I will quantise it for you and send it back. will send you my email in pm
Why quantize it? Just set a second beatmarker where the next “1” starts after the breakdown. If the BPM is the same in the second part of the song, this is an easy fix.

Was watching an interview with Deadmau5 once and he was talking about how one day he wants to adjust his song by like tenths of a BPM throughout the track to purposely F with DJ’s (I’m sure he meant sync DJ’s etc). I’d bet money some of these guys really do that intentionally. Damn elitist pricks!
