Serious Question: DJ Name…

Alright guys, So I’ve been thinking about this for a while now, I think I may need a new DJ name. :disappointed: I’m afraid that if I walk into a club and try to distribute my mixes and buisness cards, people won’t know how to pronounce my DJ name – DJ Be-Ne-Dek – Thus leading to them not remembering me or making it harder for them to remember me. But at this point in time, a good amount of people already know me as DJ Be-Ne-Dek, they aren’t exactly promoters, or anyone super important, but they are people who know that I’m worth my salt. Lastly, I think if I’m gonna change it, now is the time, before I really get in too deep to change it…

I haven’t got the slightest clue as to what I should change it to, but for now, this video has me pronouncing it, just so you guys can see how it’s pronounced and written…

looks better to, but as i always say in these threads, go with what you feel most comfortable with. it’s more in what you do, not what you call yourself - the name is the more personal bit

not picking on him. just scratching my head. Not to be rude, but spending your time pondering a dj name whilst playing pre-mixed mixes is kinda like somebody spending all their time learning to twirl a drumstick instead of playing drums.

i think he mentioned it was a special 20 min “countdown” mix for new years, most likely so he could get drunk with the crew and get a kiss at midnight :slight_smile:

Please remove DJ from in front of your name… they know what your doing you don’t need to tell them in your name too… those hyphens are messing your name up too

yes just Benedek i don’t ever use DJ infact not since i started have i used that, i use a shortened version of my real name spelt in Irish it’s easy lol :slight_smile: well it is if you understand the C has to be pronounced as a K!
