So when’s this new NI soundcard coming out?
You know…the one that’ll enable Timecode control with S4’s version of Traktor? Which will be available seperately as well?
Is there a new soundcard coming? I thought it would just be a software update to the s$ edition, or a version supplied with an Audio 4 / Audio 8?
egh i saw a thread like this on the NI forums, i hope its just an update to the s4 software but it’ll probably be a 50 dollar or 100 dollar upgrade to traktor s4 scratch or some jazz like that
Yeah, the soundcard in the S4 meets the requirements. The software as yet does not.
I was thinking something along the lines of AUDIO DJ 4 mkII that would let you run the S4 edition of traktor with timecode.
I’ll bet that any of the ‘Traktor certified’ soundcards will let you run the new version of Traktor with the S4 features.
there´s no new soundcart comming out in the next time…the s4 traktor version will be only usable with s4 controller. so there´s no need for a new soundcart for traktor s4
So what about the DJs out there who wants to use the S4 at home / small jobs and timecodes for B2B sessions and 1 hour sets?
They need two different versions of Traktor on their computer? Come on?!!

i think it woud be really stupid to release a new soundcard just for this for 2 reasons
A) destroys the concept of the all in one controller
B) soundcard in the s4 uses the same components as de a4dj

I think there’ll be a Audio 4 and 8 MkII, that’s the reason of the 50% off rite now, they’re emptying their stock. But wich functionalities will be added to a MkII version?
Or maybe it’s just for Traktor Pro 2, while keeping the same soundcards…
trust me. there won´t be any additional soundcard in the next few months. s4 will be a stand alone thing. no chance to buy the software without purchasing the controller. so they won´t have to make a new soundcart and in fact the s4 controller has an audio 4 build in
So their 50% promo is just to annoy people who bought S4 and want to re sell their old traktor system?

BTW, they did delay this %off thing and gave a chance to the users to sell their TSP packages … still many will be upset. Lot of peopel were counting to get few hudreds back from their TSP … damn!
But the new prices are amazing!
if you look at the promo items it is only the scratch and due systems and some software
they aint selling the soundcards at half price on there own so i very much doubt they are trying to get rid of there stock
as far as i know they also sell tspro for half the price which includes the audio8
i have not seen this anywhere yet just the tsp/due packges and the tpro and due software
