So you think we have a good forum?

No you haven’t!

Ofcourse, one should look after his equipment.

Jesus not this picture again!

Hey, can’t blame the lady for asking.

Who in their right mind would ask to see that again

Bento:

I read somewhere that BCR stands for “Bull Crap Remixer”. Is this true? lol

Do i dare even answer that ?
How about we all just get back on topic and leave this for the BCR thread :stuck_out_tongue:

Oh yeah, like a VCI with arcade buttons is sooooo novel.

Greatest idea you had sofar. :stuck_out_tongue:

LOL - :stuck_out_tongue: Back on track to the topic!
[flame suit off]

Hehehe

what’s the topic?

oh right, how awesome we are

YES we are!

Because we are your friends

You’ll never be alone again

Ooh…come on !

Because we care.

Well, Ean, it’s obvious that you’re an “ASS CLOWN”.

Had to make sure I typed that in all caps.

As for the posters at Serato’s forums…everyone’s entitled to their own opinion. If we agreed 100% with everything then we wouldn’t be humans. We have choice.

In general, I think this forum is great. There’s a few people on here that I haven’t seen on other forums, and the knowledge they have is mad sick.

On the other hand, I find it difficult to get to these posts while wading through the same bs you get everywhere else. Stupidity / Lack of Common Sense / Laziness stresses me out sometimes. You might agree with me, but then I’d challenge you to tell me when the last time you responded to a post about ‘What Midi Controller Is Best’, or ‘What Software Should I Buy?’ to appease a poster. Questions are asked all the time that are covered in a product’s manual, or belong on said product’s website forums. More importantly…a little bit of self-leg work would go a long way to truly helping someone out…make them search and find solutions for the mundane, common questions.

I think this forum needs a FAQ section, and if you ask a question that’s covered in said FAQ, we stone you.

In my mind, I believe DJTT could be a forum where you can colaborate on ideas, share expereinces, etc., not be a trainers of software. The other website forums is where you learn the tools and DJTT helps you get to the next level.

It’s a god thought but in all reality it’s a public forum and all should be welcome regardless of their skill level . I think a bout one of my first times walking into a record store and the douche bag behind the counter not wanting to sell me a record that he said was too much for my skill level and that I should stick with the top picks in the bin up front . Needless to say I never shopped there again and the place finally closed a couple years back .

But what I’m getting at is that elitist atitude will turn off a lot of potentially great DJs .

Oh yeah GOOOOOOO PHILLIES!!!

People starting out in this need direction not flaming .

While I do agree with you, Chilly, I think we need to encourage them to read the manuals more than force it. shrug

Though it would be nice if they did on their own.

I strongly agree with Cilly’s suggestion about a F.A.Q. I also suggested a How-To / Tutorials area, that DJTT can post Video tutorials, etc.

+1

Wow- I had no idea that post would start such a thread! Thanks for the support guys, I always know everyone has my back but its good to hear the support when haters get so harsh.

Chilly is right,
The FAQ suggestion is much needed. i want to thank all of you that have taken the time to answer those common questions SEVERAL times. Lately I have been brainstorming a single web page that has a graphical layout of the “evolution of the dj” and points to each area of knowledge as a person would go through the same process. not sure how its going to look or with what tools to build it but thats a MUCH needed page. We have the content, its just a matter of organization.

Apparently if I build a wiki then every one here can contribute to it and help shape the end result. Does that make the most sense?

Yup a wiki would be great that way we can answer these questions just once on the wiki, then point everyone to the wiki entries

I think it could also generate alot more traffic though DJTT as i don’t think a digital djing wiki even exists on the internet at all.

[/quote]lol

I just posted on NI’s site that I would foot the bill to host a Traktor / Traktor Scratch wiki as long as someone stepped up to code it as I don’t have available bandwidth for that at the moment!
