stripped-down inexpensive 4-channel mixer for home?
I’ve looked around and found a few options, but Im looking for opinions.
I need a 4-channel mixer for home use only, as basically every gig I play has a DJM 800/900.
I have an audio 8 DJ, so I’m looking for a 4-channel mixer.
I’m looking for something very cheap, because it’s competing with just buying a CMD MM-1 when they come out, and mixing internally when I’m at home. I’d prefer to mix on a hardware mixer at home, but I can’t justify that desire enough to buy a high-end mixer. I don’t need any effects or beat counters or anything, just an adjustable crossfader and four channels. I’m also not really interested in a moblile DJ/rackmount-style mixer.
So what do you guys think? What’s the cheapest 4-channel mixer you’d recommend.
(disclaimer before the newbies chime in: for so many reasons, don’t waste posts suggesting the Z2, or the hypothetical Z4 for that matter.)
Have a look at the synq smx 2 /or 3 mixers, loads of bang for buck. Theyre actually really good. Im very impressed with mine. Nice eq curves, decent sound, matrix input, sample banks, dsp effects, duck talk on mic, fader and x fader adjustable curves. The company has been around since the 80’s doing audio gear
rock solid analog mixer than can be picked up about £200 on the used market this will beat anything on from lower end manufactures such as numark, Behringer.
also comes with penny and giles cross fader!
ive been more than happy with the sound quality and the eq’s are decent…
