My problem is that I have about 4 music sources, which need to go to one sound system, so I need a cheap solution to do this.
Now the reason I am ashamed is that I figured there would be something in order to do this, like an audio switch. After thinking about this for a few minutes it dawned to me, I’m a DJ, I work with mixers that are made to do this…
Now the thing that I need advice on is what would be a cheap and small mixer capable of doing this?
I looked at the Behringer MICROMIX MX 400, which is very very basic.
I also looked at the Behringer 802, the problem is that 2 of the 4 channels are mono.
Is there anything compared to the 802 that’s cheap with 4 stereo channels?
I wouldn’t mind spending a few euros more in order to get EQs.
Given your budget that is one of the few options you have. Alternatively, you can find a Numark C2 for about $150 street price (I don’t know if that is inside your budget or not).
Although very different in terms of look & feel…both will provide what you need for near your budget. Both are “OK” (but no better) in terms of sound quality. Neither will be driven to “11” and still provide a clean signal.
Hey i kinda had the same dilema and i just bought this: Velleman VMS4N (13.5€ in store)
It’s made for audio + vidéo but as it uses RCA, i can use it only for audio.
You can use it in both way so that 4 in and 1 out can become 1 in and 4 out if needed…
I hope this helps… You won’t get as much control than with the “XENYX 1002” but it’s cheap as hell!
