Well, Iâm asking why you consider it to be a summer mix. Itâs very techy, not much warmth, bit too fast and has a little too much push and âjackâ to it for something to be considered a âSummer Groovesâ.
Funny itâs labeled âSummer Groovesâ as there really isnât much groove to it as a mix overall.

Who says that something labelled âsummer groovesâ canât be techy, fast and jackinâ? One persons definition of a summer mix is completely subjective. Maybe just forget the title and give some constructive feedback on the mix regardless!! Im in Aus so we are in the 11th day of winter⌠iâll remember not to take that into account when giving my opinion eh?

I find it funny how everyone thinks I just say only bad things when I have also gone out of my way to help a fair number of members on this board as well.
Perception is reality I guess, and if you only see what you want to see the joke is on you then
everyone is entitled to an opinion, however when i asked for feedback i meant on the music and the mix itself not the title i had given it. Its called that as simply ive done a house mix which was vol 1 then i did a deep house mix which was vol 2 so i simply just carried on, where you never came onto those 2 mixes and commented on those, however u came onto this one and simply slated me for what it was called. I could understand if you said, your 2nd mix was slightly off, or song 4 didnt go that well into song 5 etc etc but to just purely comment on it about the title then i dont find that constructive at all. Like someone said why cant tech house be summery, if someone goes to ibiza this summer and they are in space and carl cox drops one of the songs on my mix say and this particular person loves it then that will be a song that reminds them of that âsummerâ in ibiza wouldnt it? i didnt mean it was full of songs that are like dj jazzy jeff & the fresh prince - summertime lolâŚ
Well, IN MY OPINION, people donât relate âsummerâ to Carl Cox and big room tech house tunes. Quite the opposite Iâd say.
And youâre Carl Cox example is a bit off and far reaching Iâd say, as Carl could play it in the middle of winter and still have the same effect on the listener.
Thatâs like putting making a slo mo, groovey deep house mix at 112bpm but labeling it as being a âpeak time banger mixâ. Just seems a bit misleading is all.

And I know he plays at Space, I know what he does (personally Iâm a big fan of his, just not his productions ). But that sound is that thing I, and a lot of other people I know and speak with, would associate with summer.
