Hey DJs,
I’m introducing Swagg Brown, a new DJ platform we’ve been developing for DJs who want a modern alternative to traditional DJ software.
Our goal is ambitious: build a professional DJ experience that can compete with platforms like Serato DJ and VirtualDJ, while making powerful features easy to access.
Some of what we’ve been working on includes:
• 4-deck mixing
• Real-time vinyl-style scratching with forward/reverse platter movement
• Stem separation
• BPM detection and beat-based mixing tools
• Modern DJ interface
• Browser-based access without needing a traditional desktop DJ installation
We’ve spent a lot of time improving the scratching engine because we want the platter to respond more like an actual turntable rather than simply speeding up and slowing down audio.
Now I want feedback from actual DJs.
I’m especially interested in hearing from:
• Serato DJ users
• VirtualDJ users
• Rekordbox users
• Scratch/turntablist DJs
• Mobile and wedding DJs
• Club/open-format DJs
Try it here:
I’m not looking for people to tell me everything is great. If something feels wrong, a feature is missing, the workflow doesn’t make sense, or something another DJ platform does better, tell me.
I want Swagg Brown to be built around what working DJs actually need.
What would Swagg Brown need to have for you to seriously consider using it instead of your current DJ software?
Thanks — looking forward to the feedback.
